Weapons Screener

Berkeley County School District will utilize weapons screeners on Friday, August 30 at the Goose Creek High vs. Fort Dorchester High football game. Each public gate entrance will have weapons screeners, and all ticketed individuals will be required to pass through the weapons screeners before they will be admitted to the stadium. Please prepare for the potential of increased wait times as ticketed individuals are screened before entrance.

These weapon screeners will be utilized at home football games at all BCSD high schools in weeks to come.

Weapons screener entrance procedure:

Security staff will be onsite to direct individuals through the weapons screeners located at each gate. If the weapons screener alerts, the individual will pass through a second time. If the screener continues to alert, the individual will be wanded by security. Individuals will not be admitted to the stadium until cleared by security. Once the individual has been permitted to enter the event, he/she will not be allowed to re-enter if he/she chooses to leave at any time.

Please be reminded:

  • All elementary and middle school attendees are required to be accompanied by an adult.

  • All spectators must be seated during the event unless utilizing the concessions and/or restrooms.

  • All BCSD events adhere to a “Clear Bag No Bag” procedure. Refer to this link for more information: https://www.bcsdschools.net/page/clear-bag-no-bag
