As all or most of you know, our 1st Annual Gator Crawl was a success. We are looking forward to an even bigger turnout than last year; we have from now until April 22, 2017 to prepare.
For the people who don’t know what the Gator Crawl is, it’s a team relay event that we hold every year to honor our beloved Sharonda Singleton who unfortunately was one of the victims of the Emmanuel 9 shooting. She was a a speech pathologist and the girls’ track coach here at Goose Creek. We’re raising money to achieve her dream of having a major track meet here at Goose Creek High School. Equipment is needed in order to make her dream come true. Last year three very deserving students were awarded scholarships in her name. This event was very rewarding, and we would love as much help and involvement as possible.
We raised over $15,000 last year, so lets make Sharonda’s dream a come true with 2017’s Gator Crawl. For more information, you can contact Elizabeth Beckwith at email@example.com.
